Thursday, March 11th Need to Feed the Bees

With spring coming, and after a long cold winter, and nothing blooming yet the bees are hungry and need to be fed. In this first picture, Don is taking off the insulating winter quilt so he can get in to check the status of the bees in the hive.

Don installs a food paddie, made with lots of things bees like, especially sugar. Hopefully this will get them through until they can get food from nature.
